Just a reminder to everyone and anyone that it's only a calendar month to go untill the 10th annual Gold Coast Bike Week. A full round up of events is available at the offical website: click here.

Highlights this year include the fact that some top US Custom builders are attending: Jesse James (West Coast Choppers), Paul Yaffe (Paul Yaffe Originals / Bagger Nation) and Donnie Smith (donniesmith.com)... also that Gold Coast Bike Week is now host to the Australian round of the AMD World Championships of Custom Bike Building...

I will have a display booth set up and will be attending Friday 29th, Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st so find me at the stall and say hi and check out my new displays. I have been working on ten new display sets / pieces as well as bringing acouple of my latest customer jobs etc.

Make the effort and come along.

Pretty much all of my customers get to meeting Ghuss. You are sure not going to forget him if you have met him. You can tell by the look in his eye -he's a cold blooded killer... hh

I found this pic of a West Coast Choppers / Monster Garage built chopper this week. It caught my attention as it is a dedication to Frank Frazetta's "Death Dealer", which was a theme I used for one of my most popular display tanks last year (view here), but also because of the style of bike itself. The few pics I found were on the bike's painter's (Mike Lavallee) site - Killer Paint.

If anyone knows of any pictures, articles, or episodes that the bike was featured on, send me an email and let me know, it would be cool to see more of the bike.

What a week! My computer died, my phone died and my airbrush was dropped on its nose, with out the cover on it. Damn... Anyway enough whinging! Here's a preview of one of the jobs I have recently completed - a 2007 Suzuki GSXR 1000. A full paint profile will go up on the site sometime after Bike Week....

I've been working on some lettering for a number of upcoming projects, and one of the people I look to for inspiration in that department is Mr Cartoon.

Although he is most famous for his tattooing (shown above working on Roland Sands' arm) his lettering and logo work is superb - first class. You can see some of it below as well as his badass ice-cream van. See more of his work on his myspace page and blog. Also an article / Q&A with him here that I found interesting...

The latest issue of HeavyDuty magazine is hitting the shelves as I type... it's seriously stacked with quality - 22 bikes featured. Standouts for me were both of the cover bikes and of course Bull's Emerald Twilight which I painted late last year.

Do yourself a favour, buy one for your neighbor ;)
