1-9-08 So... I survived! Bike Week was a real success... as usual I got very little sleep leading up to it but it was well worth the effort. I caught up with a bunch of cool people and met many new ones too. Winning the 12 Gage Best Airbrushing award for my 'FrankenChop' tank was a real buzz. Thanks goes to 12 Gage Kustoms who sponsored the event and to Owen Webb from House Of Kolor / Meguiars who judged and presented the award. I'll get a full paint profile of the paint job showing all its detail up online in a week or so. Congratulations as well goes to Joe Schembri for taking out the first ever Australian heat of the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building. It was a well deserved win and couldn't have gone to a nicer guy.... His bike is also featured in the latest Issue of Heavy Duty Magazine so make sure you grab a copy. The bike is amazing. Over the coming weeks I'll be adding plenty of paint profiles to the main page and post more snapshots from the show here in the blog. |

29-8-08 Last minute sneek peek... This will probably be my last blog post untll after bike week. Below are some work in progress shots from some of the tanks I will have on display. I'm doing some of the best work I've ever done... and the results will need to be seen to be believed. There'll be something for all tastes on display. If you were thinking you might come and have a look, please do... it'll be worth it. Either Saturday or Sunday is a great day to come even if you don't ride as there is plenty to see and do. Click here to see what's on when. See you there... |
14-08-08 Sneek peek... I had a last minute job come in last week that was one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever done. There were a couple of challenging factors that pushed me as an artist, and the job took longer than anticipated (I put in the hours and still met the deadline) but all in all this just made me all the happier with the end result. The full paint profile will be up shortly after bike week... or you can see it at the judging of the Queensland Ute finals at the Ekka this Saturday (16-8-08). |
03-08-08 Here's a cool bike with some sweet hand made components. It was featured in Dice magazine with a nice little write up by it's Italian builder 'Frankino'... Worth a look if you can get your hands on a copy. |
